Tear and Puncture Resistant

A combination of strength and weight create unmatched durability in Twitchell’s™ Textilene® nano™. At 6.5 oz. per square yard, Textilene® nano™ is 18% heavier than competitor offerings. Unlike fabric made of dip-coated fiberglass, Textilene® nano™ fabric utilizes an extrusion-coated polyester core yarn, which results in superior ball burst strength that is 300% stronger than competitive offerings* and extended life of the product. These features translate into a fabric highly resistant to punctures and tears.

Stability from UV Damage

The UV tolerant properties of Textilene® nano™ reveal themselves in the form of unsurpassed color retention, longevity and light filtering. Extended exposure to the sun will not result in the bleaching, flaking and fading like other screens.

Mildew Resistant

Textilene® nano™ fabric includes a biocide compound that resists mildew growth, yielding longer lasting beauty from the fabric.

Ten Year Limited Warranty

Textilene® nano™ has a life expectancy of more than 10 years and is backed by a 10-year limited warranty. The average lifespan of fiberglass fabric is approximately six years and is typically backed by only a one to three year warranty

Textilene® nano™ offers superior technology available in screen protection for windows, doors, pool, patio or porch. It is the perfect choice for the homeowner who demands the best in family enjoyment and safety outdoors while providing a high-quality, long-lasting home improvement investment. It provides insect and pest protection, privacy, safety, and debris-control. Textilene® nano™ offers the homeowner extended durability and protection by incorporating superior tear resistance and tensile strength.

Now you can have a screen that will not need to be replaced every few years. Many screen fabrics are limited in strength and durability, needing replacement in only a few years. Fiberglass screen can become brittle within three to four years making it easily damaged by pets, flying objects or children at play. Within six to seven years, deteriorated fiberglass screen can be torn to shreds by a strong gust of wind.

The extrusion-coated advanced polymer formula of Textilene® nano™ defies deterioration. In a simulated seven-year weathering test, the fabric lost only one percent of its original strength. In fact, it remained three times stronger than new fiberglass screen.
